SUMMER SCHOOL (Grades 8 to 12)
Summer School provides the opportunity for a student who has failed a core course to avoid repeating the course the following school year. Students must have taken the course already. These courses do not have enough credit hours for students to complete a new course.
Remedial courses are for those students who have achieved at least 40% in the course during the school year. Courses will consist of 40 hours of instruction. Students who successfully complete a remedial course will receive a "C". Students wanting to achieve a higher mark than "C" should consider taking a full-credit course. Students who achieved less than 40% during the school year must take the course for full credit.
Full-Credit courses will consist of 80 hours of instruction. Full-credit summer school courses are not intended forstudents who have not previously taken the course.
